2011 pas de deux - 91 pts from The Wine Advocate

Out­stand­ing, with beau­ti­ful com­plex­i­ty and a rich, lay­ered pro­file, the 2011 pas de deux is a blend of Syrah and Grenache that spent 16 months in French oak. Exhibit­ing qual­i­ty aro­mas and fla­vors of black and blue fruits, dried spices, leather and licorice, it hits the palate with a full-bod­ied, silky pro­file, good over­all fresh­ness and sweet tan­nin. It will evolve gace­ful­ly and have upwards of a decade of prime drinking.
