Anoth­er out­stand­ing wine from Kevin Jus­si­la is the 2013 In The Red, which is a ⁶⁰⁄₄₀ split of Syrah and Caber­net Sauvi­gnon that’s all from estate fruit. Aged 18 months in 60% new French oak, this medi­um-bod­ied, juicy and ele­gant red offers lots of sweet cher­ry, rasp­ber­ry, toast­ed spice and maybe a hint of red plum to go with fine tan­nin, sol­id bal­ance and a great fin­ish. It should evolve nice­ly through 2023, but there’s no need to hold off either.
