The 2017 Noir is a blend of 90% Syrah, 5% Counoise and 5% Petite Sir­ah aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. Medi­um to deep ruby-pur­ple, it has a love­ly, viva­cious per­fume with loads of vio­let, fresh mint leaves, cof­fee beans, turned earth and char with a core of fresh black and blue fruits. The palate is medi­um to full-bod­ied with expert­ly restrained fruits, a firm but fine­ly grained frame and great fresh­ness, fin­ish­ing long. A beau­ti­ful­ly expres­sive Syrah. 93 pts
