The 2021 Kaamos is com­posed of 70% Petite Sir­ah, 20% Mourvè­dre and 10% Grenache. It has deep scents of cas­sis, blue­ber­ry, cof­fee beans and tar with accents of char­cu­terie, laven­der and aniseed. The full-bod­ied palate has a restrained core of min­er­al-dri­ven fruit framed by chalky tan­nins and round­ed fresh­ness, and it has a long, flo­ral fin­ish. It blos­soms dra­mat­i­cal­ly as it airs in the glass and will ben­e­fit from 2 – 3+ years in bot­tle. 93 pts
