kaamos
kaamos is a Petite Sirah dominant blend with Grenache and Mourvedre.
The more Petite Sirah-dominated 2019 Kaamos has a great nose of ripe darker currants and blackberries as well as scorched earth, cracked pepper, sappy green herbs, and bacon fat. It’s medium to full-bodied, with a juicy, lively mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It’s certainly one of the bigger wines in the lineup, but the balance is spot on, it has a wonderful sense of freshness, and outstanding length. It’s a gorgeous wine. 94 pts

Finnish for “the polar night”. It’s that time of year in December and January when it’s essentially dark in Finland. An appropriate name for kaamos, as it is Petite Sirah driven and very dark.
