Dark, earthy, smokey and dis­tinct­ly savory, the 2019 Kaamos makes itself known with a brood­ing blend of scorched earth, under­brush and black cur­rants lift­ed by a sweet mint hint. It’s silky- smooth with medi­um-bod­ied weight and a core of min­er­al-tinged red and black fruits that slow­ly sat­u­rate. Dark choco­late nuances and an invig­o­rat­ing burst of tan­ger­ine add con­trast toward the close. It fin­ish­es long, light­ly struc­tured and pleas­ant­ly chewy with tart wild berries and sage notes.
