2012 in the red - 90 pts from The Wine Advocate

Dark­er and more con­cen­trat­ed (than the AAT­TO), the 2012 In The Red checks in as a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Caber­net Sauvi­gnon that spent 16 months in 60% new French oak bar­rels. It’s a classy, bal­anced and medi­um-bod­ied effort that gives up loads of black­ber­ry, black­cur­rants, licorice, toast­ed spice and dried earth on the nose. It’s not a block­buster, and shows the vin­tages sup­ple nature, yet it evolves nice­ly giv­en its bal­ance and harmony.
