The 2019 Noir is dark­ly allur­ing, with smoky black­ber­ries, rasp­ber­ry sauce, cocoa, black olive and vio­let pastille aro­mas. This is sur­pris­ing­ly juicy and ener­getic with­in. A pret­ty inner sweet­ness con­trasts the tart red and black fruits, all neat­ly bal­anced by vibrant acid­i­ty. A tart black­ber­ry con­cen­tra­tion adds a lin­ger­ing ten­sion over a coat­ing of fine-grained tan­nins. The Noir is a blend of 85% Syrah, 10% Counoise and 5% Petite Sir­ah. 93 pts
