The 2020 Pas de Deux is wild­ly fresh and vivid­ly fruit-focused, with smoky wild blue­ber­ries, straw­ber­ries and Vio­lette Pastille com­pli­cat­ed by wet stone. This is soft-tex­tured yet full of ener­gy. Sweet spice accen­tu­ates crisp red and blue fruit. Sour cit­rus nuances off­set set a coat­ing of laven­der- tinged min­er­al­i­ty as the wine tapers off sur­pris­ing­ly fresh and juicy. There’s a sub­tle tug of fine tan­nin. The Pas de Deux is a beau­ti­ful­ly com­posed blend of 68% Grenache and 32% Syrah. 92 pts
