The 2022 Pas de Deux com­bines 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah, lead­ing with a red-fruit­ed, herbal and savory nose that takes on cit­rus flour­ish­es with time in the glass. The palate is ele­gant­ly rich and seam­less in tex­ture, with deli­cious ten­sion that snaps into a fra­grant fin­ish, recall­ing the earth-tinged ele­ments of the nose. Con­sid­er­ing the warm vin­tage con­di­tions, this is impres­sive­ly fresh and bal­anced and should drink well over the next five years or so. 92 pts
